Get ready for another season of hand-picked films
Forest Film Society 3461 is a community-run initiative at the Glenlyon Hall. It’s designed to bring together residents of Glenlyon and surrounding districts to enjoy a season of films, along with a bowl of delicious home-made soup, bread and savory treats and have an opportunity to engage with other locals.
Our film society is an opportunity for members to experience a variety of films selected across multiple genres including drama, comedy, documentary, foreign film, arthouse and members’ choice.
Forest Film Society 3461 is managed by a volunteer sub-committee of the Glenlyon Progress Association, who research and select films based on reviews, articles and awards.
In 2025, the Glenlyon Progress Association (GPA) invested in new audio visual equipment for the Hall. The new ultra high definition, larger screen and surround sound system is a significant upgrade, bringing a new level of film experience to the Forest Film Society.

Membership is by subscription only and is payable at the start of each season. it includes a program of six hand-picked films for $60 per person. Members are welcome to attend all or some of the films.
All member fees go to the Glenlyon Progress Association to support asset enhancements at the hall. Forest Film Society is a member of the Federation of Victorian Film Societies (FVFS).
